Children’s section is nice in the sub basement. Most staff friendly and helpful. There are a lot of homeless people and I understand why but it smells quite a bit and the washrooms are disgustingly filthy

I came here looking for a quiet space for an online meeting. I reserved one of their 3 private spaces. I had to call to make the reservation, I hope Toronto Public Library (TPL) can have an online reservation system in place in the near future.

However, my experience was seamless. Since calling to arriving to the library… the staff was just AMAZING! I was impressed by their customer
Service.

The library doesn’t have parking so you’ll need to park in one of the street. If you are going on the TTC, there is an station at waking distance.

The library is clean, quiet, modern and with great architecture.

The wifi works extremely well, so you can rely on them for working from the library or to study.

Washrooms are clean and they welcome transgenders.

I love the natural light and cool architecture of the building but lately it’s not enough to keep me coming back. I used to enjoy coming to this spot to work but now often it’s used by homeless people to hang out/ sleep here during the day. I know this review sounds mean but it’s hard concentrate while someone is snoring loudly and farting loudly in their sleep next to you. I wish the city made a better effort at dealing with the current homeless crisis that Toronto has.

Very well maintained library. It’s like a temple of books. Systems are all up and running. Up to date. Nice place to study. Close to subway, intersection and shops and restaurants.

オリジナルトートバッグを購入。耐久性は低いと思いますが、$3なら十分なクオリティ。

(November,2021)消毒液は至る所に設置してあり、警備員もいて、マスク着用も徹底しています。お手洗いも比較的きれいでした。司書は、わからないことは尋ねると丁寧に手伝ってくれます。子供用の図書コーナーが他のpublic libraryより広いように思います。
今回は書類の印刷に寄りました。コピー機はありますが、USBから印刷したい方は司書へPC使用の予約をし（20分後に使用できました）、PCで印刷画面まで進み、印刷（print）をクリック→司書に伝え、コピー機で印刷します。初めてだったのですが、親切な司書が丁寧に教えていただき助かりました。

I dropped by Gladstone and Bloor Library to check a book...
I was impressed by its architecture, its organisation, the 1st floor, lots of books, magazines, indexes, ...itemized, well filed; Pleasant reception on main floor, quiet study on the 2nd floor;
Hand sanitisers on both floors, CLEAN, Bright.
I thought sharing my findings!

Since when the Library is a Shelter? not only that but the smell... very disappointed that they're letting people do whatever they want inside a Library.

I did come quite often to this library. But then noticed homeless people snoring, a dirty bathroom and too much noise in areas. I'm from the U.K. and we don't allow homeless people into libraries, it seems in Canada its fine, but comes with consequences.
