This library is pretty cool. Not crowded ever. It's clean, warm inside, you can use a private study room for extra quietness, and they even have a 3D printer! They have computers and printers, books, DVDs, tapes, magazines, and more. Please help keep our libraries open and running by getting a library card!

Like many of the other reviews, my chief concern is the level of noise here at the library. There’s a guy walking around on his cell phone, staff and security haven’t said anything to the man. The children are running laps inside of the building. Seemingly all decency is lost.

I don’t leave reviews but my 4 experiences at this branch deserve one.
My kids and I have never once felt safe at this library. The Security will let anyone walk in. We have encountered men clearly on drugs while verbally moaning and half naked walking around in the library, another man following my son in the children’s book section with large sticks in hand waving them around, and today a man peeing right outside in broad daylight across from the library parking lot (which is the preschool/recreation center. It is not a safe place for kids, and it is at the heart of San Marcos’ resources for children ironically. Won’t be going back again.

Great staff that is eager to help. Library was peaceful on a Saturday morning. I would reccomend this location for studying or reading.

They have a large selection of books
And a clean bathroom
Nice computers
And you can print

Cool library with great study sections but.... it doesn't really matter how great the setup is when the library doesn't regulate noise pollution. Seems like people talking loudly and screaming children are an acceptable thing at this library. It's not rude to ask people to be quiet in a library. I wish it was more enforced here. Because of this I've had to pack up and leave on multiple occasions and find a study place elsewhere. But when it's quiet it's a great place to go.

This library look clean and smell like a library. Very welcoming staff as soon as I walk in, first time being at this library. First I called to make sure their scanner works. Alexis answer all my questions in a professional manner. Regenie the first person that answer the phone also professional but couldn't understand my English. I ask to speak to somebody else and that is when Alexis come on the phone to talk to me. I am very grateful for all the staff at this branch of San Diego County Library with their friendliness and professionalism. Keep it up and thank you.
