Like to start off with time. Museum was about two hours to walk through.
Then the museum itself is wonderful. A very very honest look at Truman as a human and president. It shows the good, the bad, the changes in himself through time. The arrangement is very interesting and keeps you engaged.

The only downside is some of the films on loops had very long gaps to it. I would wait for one to finish and draft in, only to find the next playing wouldn't start for another 14 minutes. So I missed two of them.

Definitely check this out.

Nice museum. The displays are well done and some are interactive. It was interesting to learn that Truman worked on site in an attached office for many years before his death and is ultimately buried at the museum. We spent a couple of hours at the museum. I think you could spend more time if you read every display. Overall it is worth the visit for fans of history and for anyone who wants to give their kids a rounded education.

Excellent DC-level museum. First off, if you're an educator, reach out to these guys about their "decision center" in the basement, which basically has you run a simulation as if you're Truman and his cabinet. They'll also work with you and help you plan and write lessons and field trips. If you're a "civilian", this is an awesome museum that tells the story of Truman coming to prominence, his journey through politics, and his legacy, with plenty of references and hat tips to the different "side quests" of the 50s. Ok gift shop at the end, but make sure you take advantage of all the great interactive exhibits and videos.

We stopped here on a whim to cool off and were not expecting the sheer magnitude of information. Amazing exhibits that really brought history to life. We could have stayed for hours and are already planning another stop. Definitely would recommend.

First presidential library visited and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much to see for a critical time in history. The media was very up to date and able to learn a lot without a lot of effort. Need at least 3 hours to do a surface dive. Recommend it.

I finally came back to the Truman Library since the 80s. The entrance was changed to the side of the building. I visited the museum, of course, but someday I would like to visit the archives. I like the old films they showed. The museum had at least 3 to 4 areas to rest and watch film archives. Lots of interaction that enlightens you with knowledge. It's amazing how this man had big shoes to fill when Roosevelt died. But he became one of the best and most influential presidents in our nation's history. I recommend to visit when you are in the Kansas City area. Handicap friendly too.

Me & my wife were in Kansas City for the weekend. We decided to go by and visit the Truman museum. We found it to be very informative and a nice place to visit if you like history. We are from Missouri so it was nice to see a Missouri farmer turned President. Nice visit.
