We pass by the Sahara West Library often and always wanted to visit this place. We are so glad that we stopped in. I agree with other people they say that it’s a “hidden gem.” This Library is very spacious two stories, clean, lots of seating areas, study rooms, event space to hold meetings, etc., a used bookstore, an Fine Arts Museum with special art collections featuring different artists, various art work placed in glass cabinets in the entrance lobby area, kind and helpful staff, it’s peaceful and not to mention a wide variety of books, DVD’s, CD’s, a great children’s section and so much more!

To be honest I thought it was only the first floor and I was thinking this is it?!Then I asked the Security Guard on duty what’s upstairs and he told us there’s more books, seating areas, the children’s section, etc. When we got there we were surprised to see another level of Library goodness.

We loved our first check in here and for sure we will be back.

Stumbled upon this ? gem, looking for something to do in the area and they hosted the nutcracker a free showing. This library ? is not ordinary the structure is amazing from the outside! Once you walk inside the atmosphere is breathtaking. They even have a selection of beautiful artwork. Although we were there for the Nutcracker we would definitely come back to check out the books.

Sahara West Library: More Than Just Shhh-ing!

Let's be honest, libraries can be a little intimidating. Stuffier than a grandma's lace doily collection, and about as lively as watching paint dry (although, to be fair, the Sahara West Library does have a great selection of books on home improvement, so maybe that paint drying thing is a plus?).

But fear not, fellow bookworms! Sahara West Library is a hidden gem. The staff here are like librarians with superpowers. They can hunt down any book faster than you can say "Dewey Decimal System" (and yes, they can probably explain that too). Plus, they're friendly enough to make even the shyest bookworm feel welcome, like they've stumbled into a secret society of knowledge ninjas.

And let's not forget the real star of the show: the used bookstore attached to the library! It's like a treasure trove for bibliophiles. You never know what forgotten gem you might unearth, all at prices that won't make your wallet cry. Just be warned, it's easy to get lost in there for hours, happily surrounded by towering stacks of stories waiting to be discovered.

So, in conclusion, Sahara West Library is more than just a place to shush and squint at tiny words. It's a haven for book lovers, a friendly neighborhood resource, and the perfect place to find your next literary adventure (and maybe a slightly used copy of "How to Overcome Your Fear of Shushing").

5 out of 5 stars! (P.S. They might not have any books on how to resist the urge to buy every book in the used bookstore, but hey, that's a risk I'm willing to take!)

Easily one of the best libraries in Vegas. I've been to libraries all over Vegas and this one has the most study rooms, lots of places to set up electronic devices for studying, working, and homework. There is a lot of separation from children, teen, and adult sections. Noise is very minimal, especially on the second floor where the most tables are. Lots of parking, clean bathrooms, and decent wi-fi. Lots of resources and helpful staff. I wish there was an on site cafe, but everything else is worth not having that.

This is a first rate suburban library. The library itself encompasses two stories and has a large variety of books, lots of DVDs, audiobooks, music, study rooms, kids and teen rooms and friendly staff. There’re also lots of fun programs for kids and teens to expand their minds with art, literature and imagination. There’s an art gallery in the larger building along with an assembly hall. Overall this is a great place to bring kids on a hot Las Vegas summer day. Ok
