Modern. Impressive. Spacious. Homeless.

I saw two people sat on the opposite bench and looking dozing  off. I jokingly said, hey, that's me, always falls sleep with a book, which in Chinese, means lazy and uneducated. Then when we about to leave an hour later, I saw them at the same location.

There is too much to talk about this wonderful library ... but the bathroom trip stands out. I went to the bathroom and a person with big bag was behind me. As usual, I held the door … who thanked me. But for a moment, I wished for more people. Inside the bathroom, one stall has toilet paper filling the gaps. At first I thought it was out of order. But then heard movement ... just not a scene I expected to see in a library. But again, it's what life: see, learn and enjoy.

Es un edificio hermoso, la biblioteca es enorme y muy acogedora. Asistí con mis hijos a un evento para niños y todo estuvo perfecto, sin embargo le pongo 4 estrellas porque el momento de querer salir del estacionamiento se convirtió en un martirio, mis hijos estaban cansados y esperar más de una hora para salir del estacionamiento fue demasiado, así que el buen día familiar que tuvimos se vio eclipsado por llantos de "ya me quiero ir" mientras esperabamos en la fila rumbo a la salida.

Uhm... This place is MASSIVE! I'm kinda' sad that the cafe area has been closed for so long, and I really hope they bring it back after some renovation, but I think it's really needed! Otherwise, I really love the selection of books, the fact that half of the building is used for preservation and digitization of really rare books! So this is more than just a library, it really is like a museum of print media and other things, AND there's always a nice rotation of artwork. Last time I was there, there was the Shing Yin Khor Display of Punk Rock in Chinatown, which is something not a lot of people know about. Love this library! Lots of books, lots of things to enjoy, and the lectures and events they have here are always good! So glad we have this!

The Central Library in Los Angeles is quite beautiful! It caters to every reader with an amazing collection of books on all kinds of topics. This wonderful area is for more than just education and inspiration it's also where you may realize your ideas. A fantastic chance for all book lovers!

The Los Angeles Central Library is huge and spans the whole block. Even if you’re not an avid reader, it’s a lot of fun exploring the many floors and admiring the architecture of the building. The 2nd floor is where the beautiful ceiling is along with a small Getty Gallery. I wish I had more time to explore the library since there was so much to see.
