I was a little uncertain about this hotel based on the pictures and looking at google streetmap. It looked a little run down in the middle of a run down area. However on arrival the taxi driver (Rinaldi +39 339 395 1995 - I recommend him) took us to what was the front entrance - a medieval looking door which lead to a cobbled courtyard - then you are transported back to today with a very modern hotel. We had a room(203) with a balcony looking out to the south and mountains (they are everywhere) which was spacious and simple. Shower room was excellent and spacious. Never did get the hang of the lighting (a bit complicated) and no idea how the heating was controlled (luckily old fashioned method of opening a window fixed that). The breakfast was outstanding - but don't expect a full English. Wide selection of fresh food and drinks with helpful staff. With respect to the street view - the derelict place next door has been built upon and should be complete within the next few weeks. Go and enjoy this hotel.

A genuinely lovely find with stunning mountain views straight from our room. We arrived via what we think was the back entrance through a courtyard, but it's easy to find from the station regardless (10-15mins walk).||||The room was spacious with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a beautifully rustic character throughout. Breakfast deserves special mention: a fantastic selection of fresh produce with the added touch of being able to juice your own fruit and vegetables.||||One minor niggle: the room lighting controls were a bit confusing. The switches look like standard rocker switches but are actually push buttons, which took us a moment to figure out.||||Would happily recommend.

The hotel is only 10/15 minutes from the train station, but with the cobblestones street it felt longer and it made it very hard to pull those suitcases. The hotel is located in the historic center of Tirano. Curt di Clement is both modern and historic, the breakfast room was absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast was good with many options. Our room was large and comfortable bedding and pillows. The bathroom was large with all the amenities. The only issue is that the A/C is set to a temperature and it can not be lower. We were hot all night because the A/C vent was too far away from the bed and the air did not reach us. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The hotel is excellent for anyone who cares about the anatomy and enjoys first class customer service. They do a lot of things that wouldn't be typical in America but are typical in Italy. I know some of the other reviews mention the heat in the rooms and I did have a hot room and I spoke to the desk and they gave me a different room on a lower floor that was cool. One important thing to know is that other guests I was staying with were on the floor above me and they enjoyed the temperature of that room. In Italy. It is typical in the summer for rooms to be between 73 and 79° Fahrenheit. The room I was in was at 80°. When I asked if he moved, the front desk manager could not have been more polite and more focused and dedicated on customer service. Upon speaking with him, he indicated that his family used to own hotels. They sold them and now he works at this hotel. I also noticed at breakfast how service oriented the other workers were. The breakfast was well laid out as well as the rooms were clean. It is also important to know there are other reviews about the breakfast end not being up to speed. I noticed many of those reviews were from America's. Breakfast in Italy is not Kellogg's cereal. They had what you could expect for a typical Italian breakfast which is a coffee and a croissant. They also had many dried fruits, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, bread, tomatoes, marinated, tomatoes, yogurt and gluten-free options as well. I would suggest that future guests discuss any concerns the front desk as they were very accommodating. The owner of this hotel is local. Like many Italian businesses. People here rely on honest reviews and it is sad to see people visiting from other countries. Leave what I believe might be unfair reviews. I would come back to this place and request a lower level room if you like it. A cooler and a higher level room if you like it warmer.

This is a great place to stay in a super location, 10 minutes from the railway station, located in a very modernized building of an old castle, with an extremely friendly staff, clean, nice design, and delicious breakfast. What is more important - this is REALLY an Eco Hotel! Like you cannot see in all of Italy! Warm recommendation from my side to everyone who would like to spend a good time in this wonderful city!

Consider staying in the Curt di Clement after riding the Bernina Express from Switzerland. The Curt di Clement is an environmentally conscious Eco Hotel. The owner inherited the historic properties in the area and renovated them into the hotel. The staff are lovely and accommodating.

Getting to the hotel, there is a lot of cobblestone if you are walking with large luggage. Consider taking a cab.

The thermostat in the room has a minimum limit to prevent overuse of energy for cooling. Just open the patio door or bathroom window at night to cool the room. The hotel smells new and the rooms are minimalist.

The breakfast exceeded expectations in several ways. They have fresh pressed juices available. There is a self serve coffee machine with acceptable quality. There are a variety of breakfast options available including pastries, muesli, bread, cheese, eggs, and meats. The kitchen can make some breakfast requests on demand such as omelets.

Beautiful hotel in a nice town. It seems that many beautiful old buildings in the immediate vicinity are being renovated, but retaining their essential character.
Our room was spacious, clean, modern yet in keeping with the age of the building.
Locality is also perfect for proximity to Switzerland and the Bernina Express.

Perfectly suited for an end-of-day trip on the Bernina Express from Chur. Great room. Great staff. Great breakfast. Well located. Easy to walk to station and to Old Town. Highly recommend. Trained from Zurich to Chur, easy. At dinner just around the corner from the hotel.
